KFC UKI is part of Yum! Brands, Inc, as well as Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Worldwide, the Yum! Brands system has 43,000 restaurants in 135 countries with 842 of them in the UK and opens over six new restaurants per day on average, making it a leader in global retail development.

KFC UKI has a unique and challenging working environment. They have 842 company restaurants in the UK, all with a standardised IT infrastructure which, includes PoS tills, kitchen video system, key networking features, several peripheral devices and other IT systems.
As IT systems advance, KFC UKI was facing a significant challenge in that they needed to upgrade their systems to achieve operational and business benefits, such as speed of customer service and integration into other restaurant solutions.
ISG Technology had to deliver these and associated installation services across the UK to a controlled schedule within a specific daily installation window, which was 5am to 9am, prior to restaurant opening.
ISG Technology took care of the project planning, cleansing of site data related to exact equipment requirements, procurement, warehousing, logistics, pre-configuration and on-site installation of EPoS.
As the asset value and warranty dissipates on the IT equipment in question, we were tasked with scheduling the required sites in to as short a programme as possible. We have completed the Technology refresh project for KFC UKI Corporate for the past 5 years. Tech Refresh 2016 had 43 sites completed in phase 1 and moving on to complete 139 sites for phase 2 in the new year.
